Comparison review

The Microsoft Surface 2 has a global score of 63.4, which is just a bit better than the HP ProPad 600's score of 58.2. These tablets come with Windows OS, but the Microsoft Surface 2 has a more recent RT 8.1 version while HP ProPad 600 has Windows 8.1 version, providing a couple nice extra features. The Microsoft Surface 2 construction is a bit heavier but thinner than HP ProPad 600, and both were released with only a couple of months difference.

Microsoft Surface 2 features a processor that's just as good as the HP ProPad 600 one, and although the Microsoft Surface 2 has 2 GB lesser RAM memory, they both have a Quad-Core processor. The HP ProPad 600 has a bit sharper screen than Microsoft Surface 2, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a slightly higher 1200 x 1920 resolution and a little greater quantity of pixels in each display inch.

Microsoft Surface 2 features as much memory for apps and games as HP ProPad 600, and although the Microsoft Surface 2 has no slot for SD memory cards, they both have equal internal storage capacity. The HP ProPad 600 shoots slightly better photos and videos than Microsoft Surface 2, because it has a camera with lot more mega pixels.

The HP ProPad 600 has a much better battery duration than Microsoft Surface 2.

Although Microsoft Surface 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the HP ProPad 600, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as HP ProPad 600. If you are trying to save some money, you can get HP ProPad 600, giving up a few features and specs, but you will get the most with your savings.
