Comparison review

Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a global score of 72.2, which is much better than HP ProPad 600's 58.2 score. Although the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 and HP ProPad 600 were released with only 3 months difference, Microsoft Surface Pro 3's design is just a bit thinner but also somewhat heavier than HP ProPad 600. Both of these tablets have Windows OS (Operating System), but Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a newer 8.1 Pro version while HP ProPad 600 has Windows 8.1.

The HP ProPad 600 counts with a slightly better looking display than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because although it has a bit lower resolution of 1200 x 1920 and a little smaller screen, it also counts with a just a little higher screen pixel density. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features a lot bigger memory capacity to store more games and applications than HP ProPad 600, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 512 GB internal memory capacity.

The HP ProPad 600 features a bit better hardware performance than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with a greater number of 1.6 gigahertz cores. HP ProPad 600 takes a bit better pictures and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because it has a lot more MP back facing camera.

HP ProPad 600 counts with a superior battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface Pro 3.

Although Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a better device, it is way more expensive than HP ProPad 600, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the HP ProPad 600. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Microsoft Surface Pro 3, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the HP ProPad 600, giving up some features and specs.
