The Galaxy Tab A (2016) is a bit better than Huawei MediaPad 7 Youth, getting a 60.4 score against 55.6. These tablets come with Android operating system, but Galaxy Tab A (2016) has 5.1 Lollipop version and Huawei MediaPad 7 Youth has Android 4.1 version, providing the user some additional features and performance tweaks. The Galaxy Tab A (2016) is a somewhat thinner and lighter device than Huawei MediaPad 7 Youth.

The Galaxy Tab A (2016) has a processor that is very similar to Huawei MediaPad 7 Youth's CPU, although the Galaxy Tab A (2016) also has more cores (although slower) and 512 MB more RAM memory. Huawei MediaPad 7 Youth features a slightly better screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), although it has a lot worse resolution of 1024 x 600 and a quite inferior number of pixels per display inch, they both have a same size display.
