Comparison review
Microsoft Surface 2 is much better than the Huawei MediaPad 7 Youth2, with a 63.4 score against 56.3. The Microsoft Surface 2 works with Windows RT 8.1 OS, and Huawei MediaPad 7 Youth2 works with Android 4.3 OS. Although Microsoft Surface 2 and Huawei MediaPad 7 Youth2 were released with only 4 months difference, the Microsoft Surface 2 body is noticeably heavier but also somewhat thinner than Huawei MediaPad 7 Youth2.
Microsoft Surface 2 counts with a screen that's just as good as the Huawei MediaPad 7 Youth2 one, although the Microsoft Surface 2 also has a just a little higher pixel count per screen inch, a way higher 1080 x 1920 resolution and a really larger screen. Microsoft Surface 2 counts with a little bit better processing power than Huawei MediaPad 7 Youth2, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processing unit, and they both have 4 CPU cores, the Microsoft Surface 2 also counts with more RAM memory.
Microsoft Surface 2 features a much greater memory for apps and games than Huawei MediaPad 7 Youth2, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 60 GB more internal storage capacity. Microsoft Surface 2 captures better photographs and videos than Huawei MediaPad 7 Youth2, because it has a camera with much more mega-pixels.
Huawei MediaPad 7 Youth2 has a very superior battery duration than Microsoft Surface 2.
Although Microsoft Surface 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Huawei MediaPad 7 Youth2, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Huawei MediaPad 7 Youth2. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy Huawei MediaPad 7 Youth2, and give up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most out of your savings.
