Comparison review
The Huawei MediaPad M1 has a global score of 61.5, which is just a bit better than the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020)'s 59.7 overall score. The Huawei MediaPad M1 is an noticeably older tablet device than the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), but it is somewhat thinner and a little lighter anyway. Both of these devices include Android OS (Operating System), but Huawei MediaPad M1 has the older 4.2.2 version while Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) has Android 9.0 Pie.
The Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) has a little faster CPU than Huawei MediaPad M1, and although they both have 4 CPU cores, the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) also has 2 GB more RAM memory. The Huawei MediaPad M1 features a much better display than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020). Both have a screen with the same size, the same exact resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and the same pixels density.
The Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) has a much greater storage capacity for games and applications than Huawei MediaPad M1, because it has 32 GB internal storage capacity and a slot for an external memory card that allows up to 1000 GB. Huawei MediaPad M1 captures much clearer videos and photos than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), because it has a back facing camera with a lot higher resolution and a way better 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality.
Huawei MediaPad M1 features a very superior battery lifetime than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020).
Although Huawei MediaPad M1 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020). So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Huawei MediaPad M1, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), letting go some features and specifications.
