Comparison review
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a score of 67.9, which is much better than Huawei MediaPad M1's global score of 61.5. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 construction is just a little thinner but somewhat heavier than the Huawei MediaPad M1, and both of them were only released with a few months difference. Both devices in this comparison review use Android operating system, but Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has newer 4.4 version while Huawei MediaPad M1 has Android 4.2.2, so it gives a couple nice extra features.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a brighter screen than Huawei MediaPad M1, because it has a way better count of pixels per inch in the display, a quite larger screen and a much higher resolution of 1600 x 2560. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a bit better processing unit than Huawei MediaPad M1, and although they both have a Quad-Core processor, the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 also has more RAM.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 captures better videos and photos than Huawei MediaPad M1, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 also has a back camera with a much higher resolution. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a much better memory to store more apps and games than Huawei MediaPad M1, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with more internal storage.
The Huawei MediaPad M1 counts with a superior battery performance than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.
Although Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Huawei MediaPad M1, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Huawei MediaPad M1. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Huawei MediaPad M1, resigning some specifications.
