Huawei MediaPad M1 is a bit better than LG G Pad X 8.3, having a 61.5 score against 61.1. The Huawei MediaPad M1 body is just a little bit thinner and lighter than LG G Pad X 8.3, despite of the fact that it was released around a year before. Both tablets in this review work with Android OS, but the Huawei MediaPad M1 has an older 4.2.2 version while LG G Pad X 8.3 has Android 5.0.

LG G Pad X 8.3 features a bit sharper display than Huawei MediaPad M1, because it has a higher pixel density, a much better resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a little bit larger display. Huawei MediaPad M1 has a bit more powerful processing unit than LG G Pad X 8.3, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with 3 more processing cores.

LG G Pad X 8.3 captures much better pictures and videos than Huawei MediaPad M1, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality, the LG G Pad X 8.3 also has a back camera with a much better 8 MP resolution. LG G Pad X 8.3 and Huawei MediaPad M1 have really similar battery performance.

Although Huawei MediaPad M1 is a better device, it is a little more expensive than LG G Pad X 8.3, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as LG G Pad X 8.3. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Huawei MediaPad M1, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the LG G Pad X 8.3, letting go a couple features and specs.
