Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has an overall score of 72.2, which is much better than Huawei MediaPad M1's general score of 61.5. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 comes with Windows 8.1 Pro operating system, while Huawei MediaPad M1 counts with Android 4.2.2 operating system. Even being the best portable tablet we compare here, it must be noted that it is also a incredibly heavier and thicker portable tablet.
Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features a bit better performance than Huawei MediaPad M1, because although it has 2 lesser CPU cores, it also counts with a higher amount of RAM memory. The Huawei MediaPad M1 features a little bit better display than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, although it has a really smaller screen, a quite inferior number of pixels per inch of screen and a way lower resolution of 1280 x 800px.
Microsoft Surface Pro 3 counts with a superior storage to install applications and games than Huawei MediaPad M1, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with more internal storage capacity. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features a little bit better camera than Huawei MediaPad M1. Both of them have a same resolution back facing camera, the same 1920x1080 video definition and the same video frame rate.
Huawei MediaPad M1 has a much better battery life than Microsoft Surface Pro 3.
Although Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Huawei MediaPad M1, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Huawei MediaPad M1. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Microsoft Surface Pro 3, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Huawei MediaPad M1, resigning a couple specifications.
