The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is much better than Huawei MediaPad M1, with a score of 68.7 against 61.5. Even though the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch and the Huawei MediaPad M1 were released only a couple of months apart, the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is a little bit thinner and just a bit lighter. These tablets use the same Android 4.2.2 OS (operating system), so both of them should provide the user all the same OS features.
Huawei MediaPad M1 features just a bit better looking screen than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch. Both of them have an equal 1280 x 800 resolution, the same display pixels density and a display with the same size. The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch counts with a bit better CPU than Huawei MediaPad M1, because although it has a lower number of cores and also slower, it also counts with a larger amount of RAM memory and an extra GPU.
Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch takes much clearer photos and videos than Huawei MediaPad M1. They have the same (HD) video resolution, the same video frame rate and the same resolution back facing camera. The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a way bigger memory to store more apps and games than Huawei MediaPad M1, because it has a slot for external memory cards that admits up to 64 GB and 32 GB internal memory capacity.
Huawei MediaPad M1 features just a little better battery life than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has 4800mAh of battery capacity instead of 4450mAh.
The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is a lot more expensive than the Huawei MediaPad M1, but it's still a convenient choice, because you can get a better tablet for that extra money.
