Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 is slightly better than Huawei MediaPad M1, having a general score of 65.6 against 61.5. Even though the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 and the Huawei MediaPad M1 were released with only a couple of months difference, Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0's construction is somewhat thicker but somewhat lighter. Both of these tablets have Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 has the newer 4.4.2 version and Huawei MediaPad M1 has Android 4.2.2.

Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 counts with just a bit better looking screen than Huawei MediaPad M1, because although it has a little smaller display, and they both have exactly the same 1280 x 800 resolution, the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 also counts with a just a bit more pixels per inch of screen. The Huawei MediaPad M1 has a bit faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 takes much clearer photos and videos than Huawei MediaPad M1, although it has a lot lower resolution back-facing camera and a way lower video definition. Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 has a bit bigger storage for games and applications than Huawei MediaPad M1, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 also has a SD extension slot that supports up to 64 GB.

Huawei MediaPad M1 counts with improved battery performance than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, because it has a 4800mAh battery size instead of 4000mAh.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 is a little more expensive than Huawei MediaPad M1, but you can get a better tablet for that extra money.
