Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has an overall score of 62.8, which is a bit better than the Huawei MediaPad M1's 61.5 overall score. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is a newer tablet, and it is also just a bit thinner and just a bit lighter than the Huawei MediaPad M1. Both tablets in our current comparison come with Android OS, but Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has a newer 7.1 Nougat version and Huawei MediaPad M1 has Android 4.2.2.

The Huawei MediaPad M1 has a brighter display than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and although they both have a display of the same size, the Huawei MediaPad M1 also has a bit higher resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and a little more pixels per inch in the screen. The Huawei MediaPad M1 counts with a bit superior processing unit than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, although it has 512 MB less RAM memory, they both have 4 cores.

The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 counts with a much bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei MediaPad M1, because it has more internal storage and a SD memory slot that supports a maximum of 128 GB. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has a slightly better camera than Huawei MediaPad M1. Both of them have a same resolution back facing camera, the same 1280x720 (HD) video definition and the same video frame rates.

Huawei MediaPad M1 has just a little bit longer battery life than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has 4800mAh of battery capacity.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is a bit more expensive than Huawei MediaPad M1, but you can get a better tablet for that extra money.
