Comparison review

Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) has an overall score of 65.7, which is a bit better than Huawei MediaPad M1's 61.5 general score. Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017)'s design is noticeably newer than the Huawei MediaPad M1's, but it is a little heavier and thicker. Both of these tablets have Android OS, but the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) has a newer 9.0 Pie version while Huawei MediaPad M1 has Android 4.2.2 version, providing some extra features.

The Huawei MediaPad M1 has a little bit better performance than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, they both have a Quad-Core processing unit. The Huawei MediaPad M1 features a better looking screen than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017). Both of them have a higher pixels quantity per inch in the display, exactly the same 1280 x 800 resolution and a display of the same size.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) features a much bigger storage to install applications and games than Huawei MediaPad M1, because it has a slot for external memory cards that allows up to 256 GB and 16 GB internal memory capacity. Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) shoots greater videos and photos than Huawei MediaPad M1, and although they both have the same video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) also has a back facing camera with lot more megapixels.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) counts with just a little bit longer battery life than Huawei MediaPad M1, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity.
