Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 is much better than Huawei MediaPad M1, getting a general score of 70 against 61.5. Even though the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 is notably newer than the Huawei MediaPad M1, it is notably thicker and a lot heavier. These tablets use Android OS, but Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Huawei MediaPad M1 has Android 4.2.2.
Huawei MediaPad M1 counts with a much better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2. Both have the same exact resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, a screen of the same size and the same display pixels density. The Galaxy Tab Active 2 counts with a much greater storage for applications and games than Huawei MediaPad M1, because it has 8 GB more internal memory and a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 256 GB.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 features a bit superior CPU than Huawei MediaPad M1, because it has a larger amount of RAM memory and a greater number of 1.6 GHz cores. The Galaxy Tab Active 2 captures much clearer videos and photos than Huawei MediaPad M1, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same video definition, the Galaxy Tab Active 2 also has a much higher 8 mega-pixels resolution back camera.
The Huawei MediaPad M1 has just a bit better battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab Active 2, because it has an 8 percent greater battery size.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Huawei MediaPad M1, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Huawei MediaPad M1. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get Huawei MediaPad M1, and give up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most with your budget.
