The Huawei MediaPad M5 8 is better than the LG G Pad X II 10.1, with a overall score of 75.5 against 65.4. The Huawei MediaPad M5 8 design is newer, just a little bit thinner and much lighter than the LG G Pad X II 10.1. Both devices in this review have Android OS (Operating System), but Huawei MediaPad M5 8 has a newer 8.0 Oreo version while LG G Pad X II 10.1 has Android 6.0 Marshmallow, so it provides a couple additional features and a performance increase.

Huawei MediaPad M5 8 has a much better screen than LG G Pad X II 10.1, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a lot higher pixels count per display inch and a higher resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels. Huawei MediaPad M5 8 features a greater memory for applications, games, photos and videos than LG G Pad X II 10.1, because although it has an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 256 GB against 1,95 TB, it also counts with 112 GB more internal storage capacity.
