Comparison review

Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 has a global score of 78.2, which is a little bit better than the Huawei MediaPad M5 8's 75.5 general score. Despite being the best in our current comparison, we must highlight that it is also a much older, extremely heavier and a little thicker tablet device. Both tablets in our current comparison include Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 has the previous 4.4 version and Huawei MediaPad M5 8 has Android 8.0 Oreo version.

The Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 has a bit sharper display than Huawei MediaPad M5 8, because although it has way less pixels per inch in the screen, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels, the Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 also counts with a way bigger screen. Huawei MediaPad M5 8 features a much bigger memory capacity to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2, because it has 128 GB internal memory and a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 256 GB.

Galaxy NotePRO 12.2's processing unit is very similar to the Huawei MediaPad M5 8 one, because although the Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 has less RAM and a lower number of cores and they are also slower, it also counts with an extra graphics processor. The Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 has a way better battery life than Huawei MediaPad M5 8, because it has a 9500mAh battery capacity.

The Huawei MediaPad M5 8 shoots just a bit better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2, because it has a way higher resolution back-facing camera.
