Comparison review
Lenovo ThinkPad 8 is a bit better than the Microsoft Surface RT, getting a score of 64.2 against 58.4. Both of these tablets come with Windows OS (operating system), but Lenovo ThinkPad 8 has older 8.1 version and Microsoft Surface RT has Windows RT. The Lenovo ThinkPad 8 is a much lighter and just a little bit thinner tablet than Microsoft Surface RT.
Lenovo ThinkPad 8 features a better screen than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has a way smaller screen, it also counts with a lot higher 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution and a much better pixels amount per inch in the screen. The Lenovo ThinkPad 8 has a bit better CPU than Microsoft Surface RT, although it has doesn't have an additional GPU, they both have the same number of cores and a 2 GB RAM.
Lenovo ThinkPad 8 features a much better storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage. Microsoft Surface RT's battery performance is just as good as the Lenovo ThinkPad 8 one.
Lenovo ThinkPad 8 captures much better videos and photos than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality and the same video frame rate, the Lenovo ThinkPad 8 also has a camera in the back with a much better resolution.
Although Lenovo ThinkPad 8 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Microsoft Surface RT, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Microsoft Surface RT. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Lenovo ThinkPad 8, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Microsoft Surface RT, resigning a couple specifications.
