Comparison review
The Samsung Ativ Tab has a score of 66.7, which is a little bit better than the Lenovo ThinkPad 8's score of 64.2. Samsung Ativ Tab is a notably heavier tablet device than the Lenovo ThinkPad 8, but both of them are equally thin. These tablets include Windows OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Ativ Tab has a more recent RT version and Lenovo ThinkPad 8 has Windows 8.1 version, providing the user a couple nice extra features and a performance increase.
The Lenovo ThinkPad 8 has just a bit better performance than Samsung Ativ Tab, because although it has doesn't have a GPU, and they both have the same RAM memory amount, the Lenovo ThinkPad 8 also counts with more cores. Lenovo ThinkPad 8 features a more vivid screen than Samsung Ativ Tab, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a lot better resolution of 1920 x 1200px and a much better display pixel density.
Lenovo ThinkPad 8 features a bit bigger storage capacity to store more games and applications than Samsung Ativ Tab, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage. Samsung Ativ Tab features a way better battery life than Lenovo ThinkPad 8. Lenovo ThinkPad 8 features a little bit better camera than Samsung Ativ Tab, because it has a way higher resolution back facing camera and a lot higher (Full HD) video definition.
Although Samsung Ativ Tab is a better device, it is way more expensive than Lenovo ThinkPad 8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Lenovo ThinkPad 8. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get Lenovo ThinkPad 8, and give up some specs and features, but you will get the most with your savings.
