The Lenovo ThinkPad 8 construction is notably lighter and somewhat thinner than Sony Tablet S. The Lenovo ThinkPad 8 works with Windows 8.1 operating system, and Sony Tablet S comes with Android 4.0 operating system.

Lenovo ThinkPad 8 features a better performing processor than Sony Tablet S, because it has a higher number of cores (and also faster) and 1 GB more RAM. Lenovo ThinkPad 8 has a much better looking screen than Sony Tablet S, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a lot higher count of pixels per inch in the display and a lot better resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels.
