The Xperia Tablet Z is a bit better than the Lenovo ThinkPad 8, getting a general score of 68.5 against 64.2. Xperia Tablet Z counts with Android 4.4.4 operating system, and Lenovo ThinkPad 8 comes with Windows 8.1 operating system. The Xperia Tablet Z body is somewhat heavier but much thinner than Lenovo ThinkPad 8.

The Lenovo ThinkPad 8 and the Sony Xperia Tablet Z have incredibly similar screens, because although the Sony Xperia Tablet Z has a just a bit lower screen pixel density, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1200 x 1920px, it also counts with a larger display. Lenovo ThinkPad 8 features a bit better CPU than Xperia Tablet Z, although it has doesn't have a graphics co-processor, they both have 2 GB of RAM memory and a Quad-Core CPU.

Xperia Tablet Z features a slightly better camera than Lenovo ThinkPad 8, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same (Full HD) video definition, the Xperia Tablet Z also has a more mega-pixels back-facing camera. Lenovo ThinkPad 8 features a much greater storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xperia Tablet Z, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity.

The Xperia Tablet Z features a way better battery life than Lenovo ThinkPad 8.

Although Xperia Tablet Z is a better device, it is way more expensive than Lenovo ThinkPad 8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Lenovo ThinkPad 8. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Xperia Tablet Z, else you can save some money and get the Lenovo ThinkPad 8, resigning a couple features and specs.
