Comparison review
Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a score of 68.5, which is slightly better than LG G Pad 8.3's general score of 65.9. Although the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 and the LG G Pad 8.3 were released only 1 months apart, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 construction is just a little bit thinner but somewhat heavier than the LG G Pad 8.3. Both of these devices come with Android OS (operating system), but the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has the older 4.2.2 version and LG G Pad 8.3 has Android 4.4 version.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a little faster processor than LG G Pad 8.3, and although they both have the same number of cores and a 2 GB RAM memory, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 also has a GPU. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a better screen than LG G Pad 8.3, because it has a higher 1600 x 2560 resolution, a bit larger display and a just a little greater pixels number per inch in the display.
The LG G Pad 8.3 captures much clearer videos and photos than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, although it has a much less mega-pixels back-facing camera and a tinier aperture which is not good for low light captures. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a very superior memory capacity to install applications and games than LG G Pad 8.3, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage.
LG G Pad 8.3 has a superior battery lifetime than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9.
