GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) is much better than the LG G Pad 8.3, getting a overall score of 77.4 against 65.9. Both of these tablets work with Android OS (operating system), but GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) has a newer 4.4.2 version and LG G Pad 8.3 has Android 4.4, providing some nice extra features. GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition)'s design is way heavier but a bit thinner than LG G Pad 8.3, and they were released with only a couple of months difference.

Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) counts with a little sharper screen than LG G Pad 8.3, because it has a just a bit better display density, a larger display and a better 1600 x 2560 resolution. Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) counts with a much better storage to store more games and applications than LG G Pad 8.3, and although they both have a slot for an SD memory card that admits a maximum of 64 GB, the Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) also has 64 GB internal storage.

The Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) counts with a little faster CPU than LG G Pad 8.3, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) also has more RAM memory and an extra graphics processing unit. LG G Pad 8.3 takes much clearer photographs and videos than GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition), although it has a back facing camera with much less megapixels resolution and a worse video resolution.

Although GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) is a better device, it costs a lot more money than LG G Pad 8.3, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the LG G Pad 8.3. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition), otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the LG G Pad 8.3, resigning a couple features and specs.
