The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is a bit better than LG G Pad 8.3, with a general score of 67 against 65.9. Both of these tablets use the same Android 4.4 OS, so they should offer identical operating system features. Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is newer than the LG G Pad 8.3, it is heavier and somewhat thicker.
The LG G Pad 8.3 counts with a bit better display than Galaxy Tab Active, because it has a little bigger display, more pixels per inch of screen and a much better resolution of 1200 x 1920px. LG G Pad 8.3 counts with a bit faster processor than Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processor, and they both have a Quad-Core processing unit, the LG G Pad 8.3 also counts with a larger amount of RAM.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active counts with as much storage for apps and games as LG G Pad 8.3, both have equal 16 GB internal memory and a SD card slot that admits a maximum of 64 GB. LG G Pad 8.3 has a little longer battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, because it has 4600mAh of battery capacity.
LG G Pad 8.3 has a very superior camera than Galaxy Tab Active, because it has a much better video definition and a camera with a lot higher 5 mega-pixels resolution.
Although Galaxy Tab Active is a better device, it costs a lot more than the LG G Pad 8.3, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the LG G Pad 8.3. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Galaxy Tab Active, else you can save some dollars and buy the LG G Pad 8.3, giving up some features and specifications.
