Comparison review

Xperia Tablet Z is slightly better than the LG G Pad 8.3, having a 68.5 score against 65.9. The Xperia Tablet Z construction is somewhat thinner but extremely heavier than the LG G Pad 8.3, and they were released only 7 months apart. Both of these tablets use Android OS (operating system), but Xperia Tablet Z has a more recent 4.4.4 version while LG G Pad 8.3 has Android 4.4 version.

The LG G Pad 8.3 has a little more vivid display than Xperia Tablet Z, because although it has a little bit smaller display, and they both have an equal resolution of 1200 x 1920px, the LG G Pad 8.3 also counts with a just a bit greater pixels density. The Sony Xperia Tablet Z features a much greater storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than LG G Pad 8.3, and although they both have a slot for external memory cards that supports a maximum of 64 GB, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z also has 32 GB internal storage.

The Sony Xperia Tablet Z has just a bit better hardware performance than LG G Pad 8.3, and although they both have a Quad-Core processing unit and 2 GB of RAM, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z also has an extra graphics processor. Sony Xperia Tablet Z has superior battery performance than LG G Pad 8.3, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity.

LG G Pad 8.3 shoots much better photographs and videos than Sony Xperia Tablet Z, although it has a much less MP resolution back camera and a lower video resolution.

Although Xperia Tablet Z is a better device, it is way more expensive than the LG G Pad 8.3, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the LG G Pad 8.3. If you want to save some money, you can get LG G Pad 8.3, giving up some specs and features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
