Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact has a global score of 71.3, which is slightly better than the LG G Pad 8.3's 65.9 score. The Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact body is newer, a lot lighter and extremely thinner than the LG G Pad 8.3. These tablets work with the same Android 4.4 OS. Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact features a bit faster processing unit than LG G Pad 8.3, and although they both have a Quad-Core CPU, the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact also has a larger amount of RAM memory and an extra GPU.
Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact has a bit better looking display than LG G Pad 8.3, because although it has a little smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same 1920 x 1200px resolution, the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact also counts with a quite greater amount of pixels in each display inch. Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact counts with a slightly better storage capacity to install applications and games than LG G Pad 8.3, and although they both have the same internal memory, the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact also has a slot for SD memory cards that holds a maximum of 128 GB.
The LG G Pad 8.3 counts with a little longer battery lifetime than Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, because it has 4600mAh of battery capacity. The LG G Pad 8.3 counts with a bit better camera than Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, although it has a lower (Full HD) video quality, a much less megapixels back camera and a smaller diafragm aperture which is not nice for shooting pictures and video in low light situations.
The Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is more expensive than the LG G Pad 8.3, but it's still a great deal, as you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
