Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) is better than LG G Pad II 8.0, getting a 65.7 score against 58.3. Both devices in this review have Android OS, but the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) has 9.0 Pie version and LG G Pad II 8.0 has Android 5.0 Lollipop version, providing some extra features. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) construction has the same thickness than LG G Pad II 8.0, but it is a little heavier.

The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) has a little sharper display than LG G Pad II 8.0.
