LG G Pad X II 8.0 Plus has a global score of 62.5, which is a little bit better than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7's 60.5 overall score. Both tablets in this review use Android OS (Operating System), but LG G Pad X II 8.0 Plus has an older 7.0 Nougat version and Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has Android 7.1 Nougat. LG G Pad X II 8.0 Plus's design is much newer, notably lighter and just a little bit thinner than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7.

The LG G Pad X II 8.0 Plus features an incredibly better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a much better 1200 x 1920px resolution and much more pixels per display inch. The LG G Pad X II 8.0 Plus features a much greater memory capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because it has a SD memory slot that supports up to 1,95 TB and more internal memory capacity.

The LG G Pad X II 8.0 Plus has a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because it has more cores and more RAM memory. The Galaxy Tab A 9.7 features a camera that's very similar to the camera in LG G Pad X II 8.0 Plus, both have the same 1280x720 (HD) video quality, the same video frame rates and a 5 MP back camera.

The Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has a much longer battery performance than LG G Pad X II 8.0 Plus, because it has a 6000mAh battery size.
