Comparison review
Microsoft Surface 2 is just a bit better than the Acer Predator 8, having a score of 63.4 against 57.7. Microsoft Surface 2 has Windows RT 8.1 OS, and Acer Predator 8 counts with Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. Despite being the best portable tablet we compare here, the Microsoft Surface 2 is a older, just a bit thicker and noticeably heavier portable tablet than the Acer Predator 8.
Acer Predator 8 and Microsoft Surface 2 count with quite similar displays, because although the Acer Predator 8 has a really smaller display, it also counts with a slightly higher resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels and a higher count of pixels per inch in the display. The Microsoft Surface 2 counts with a little faster processor than Acer Predator 8. Both have 2 GB of RAM and 4 cpu cores.
The Acer Predator 8 features a camera that's very similar to the camera in Microsoft Surface 2, both have a back-facing camera with a 5 megapixels resolution. Acer Predator 8 counts with just a bit bigger storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Microsoft Surface 2, although it has only 32 GB internal memory.
Acer Predator 8 counts with a superior battery performance than Microsoft Surface 2.
Although Microsoft Surface 2 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Acer Predator 8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Acer Predator 8. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy the Acer Predator 8, giving up a few features and specs, but you will get the most with your money.
