Comparison review
Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is a little bit better than the Microsoft Surface 2, having a score of 68.5 against 63.4. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 comes with Android 4.2.2 OS, while Microsoft Surface 2 has Windows RT 8.1 OS. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is a lighter and thinner tablet than the Microsoft Surface 2, although they were released only a couple months apart.
Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a way better looking display than Microsoft Surface 2, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a lot more pixels per screen inch and a higher 1600 x 2560 resolution.
