Comparison review
Microsoft Surface 2 is a little bit better than the Microsoft Surface RT, with a overall score of 63.4 against 58.4. These tablets have Windows OS (operating system), but the Microsoft Surface 2 has newer RT 8.1 version and Microsoft Surface RT has Windows RT, giving you a couple nice extra features and increased performance. Microsoft Surface 2 is a newer device, and it is also just a little thinner and just a little bit lighter than the Microsoft Surface RT.
Microsoft Surface RT features a bit more powerful processing unit than Microsoft Surface 2, and although they both have the same RAM amount and 4 processing cores, the Microsoft Surface RT also has an extra graphics processor. Microsoft Surface 2 has a bit more vivid screen than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have a display of the same size, the Microsoft Surface 2 also has a better screen density and a better resolution of 1080 x 1920.
The Microsoft Surface 2 shoots much better pictures and videos than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality, the Microsoft Surface 2 also has a way better resolution back facing camera. The Microsoft Surface RT's memory to store more apps and games is very similar to the Microsoft Surface 2 one, and although the Microsoft Surface RT has no SD memory slot, they both have the same internal memory capacity.
The Microsoft Surface RT and Microsoft Surface 2 feature very similar battery durations.
Although Microsoft Surface 2 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Microsoft Surface RT, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Microsoft Surface RT. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy the Microsoft Surface RT, giving up a couple features, but you'll get the most with your money.
