Comparison review
Samsung ATIV Tab 5 is just a bit better than Microsoft Surface 2, getting a score of 69.2 against 63.4. Both tablets in our current comparison include Windows operating system, but the Samsung ATIV Tab 5 has older 8 version and Microsoft Surface 2 has Windows RT 8.1 version. The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 construction is older, a little bit heavier and somewhat thicker than Microsoft Surface 2.
Microsoft Surface 2 has a little bit better looking screen than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a lot higher screen pixel density and a higher 1080 x 1920px resolution. Microsoft Surface 2 counts with a bit better hardware performance than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, and although they both have the same RAM memory amount, the Microsoft Surface 2 also has a greater number of cores (but slower).
Samsung ATIV Tab 5 counts with a much bigger memory for games and applications than Microsoft Surface 2, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity. Samsung ATIV Tab 5 features a slightly better camera than Microsoft Surface 2, because it has a back facing camera with a much higher resolution.
Samsung ATIV Tab 5 features a really longer battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface 2.
In addition to being the best tablet of the ones in this comparison, the Samsung ATIV Tab 5 is also very cheap compared to the other ones, making it an obvious call.
