Comparison review

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 is just a bit better than Microsoft Surface 2, with a general score of 67.8 against 63.4. Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has Android 4.4.2 OS, and Microsoft Surface 2 works with Windows RT 8.1 OS. Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 is a a lot lighter and somewhat thinner portable tablet than Microsoft Surface 2, although both were only released 6 months apart.

Microsoft Surface 2 features a bit better display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because it has a lot higher 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution, a quite bigger display and a greater display pixels density. The Microsoft Surface 2 counts with a bit better performance than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, and they both have a Quad-Core processor, the Microsoft Surface 2 also counts with a greater amount of RAM memory.

Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 shoots slightly better pictures and videos than Microsoft Surface 2, although it has a camera in the back with lot less megapixels resolution and a way worse (HD) video definition. The Microsoft Surface 2 counts with a much bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage capacity.

The Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 counts with a way better battery performance than Microsoft Surface 2.

Even being the best tablet of the ones we are comparing, Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 is also by far the cheapest one, making it a no doubt choice.
