Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 has a global score of 65.6, which is a little bit better than the Microsoft Surface 2's score of 63.4. The Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 counts with Android 4.4.2 OS, and Microsoft Surface 2 works with Windows RT 8.1 OS. The Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 body has the same thickness than the Microsoft Surface 2, but it's incredibly lighter.
The Microsoft Surface 2 counts with a bit more powerful processor than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Microsoft Surface 2 also has more RAM memory. Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 features a little bit better screen than Microsoft Surface 2, because although it has a way smaller display and a way worse resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, it also counts with a just a little better count of pixels per inch of screen.
Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 captures much clearer photos and videos than Microsoft Surface 2, although it has a way worse 1280x720 video resolution and a back-facing camera with a much lower resolution. Microsoft Surface 2 counts with a way bigger storage capacity to store more apps and games than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory capacity.
Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 features a very superior battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface 2.
Despite of being the best tablet between the ones we are comparing, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 is also by far the cheapest, making it an easy decision.
