Microsoft Surface 3 has a global score of 66.3, which is a bit better than Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019)'s 62.4 overall score. Even though the Microsoft Surface 3 is much older and somewhat heavier than Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019), it's construction is still somewhat thinner. Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019) has a bit superior processing unit than Microsoft Surface 3, because although it has less RAM, it also counts with a larger number of cores.
The Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019) has just a bit better looking screen than Microsoft Surface 3, because although it has a little bit smaller screen and a bit worse resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels, it also counts with a just a little greater screen pixel density. Microsoft Surface 3 has just a bit bigger memory for applications and games than Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019), because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 96 GB more internal memory capacity.
Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019) features a way better battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface 3. The Microsoft Surface 3 has a way better camera than Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019), because it has a much higher 8 megapixels resolution back camera and a much better (Full HD) video quality.
Although Microsoft Surface 3 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019), and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019). If you want to save a few dollars, you can get the Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019), letting go a couple features, but you will get the most out of your money.
