Comparison review

The Microsoft Surface 3 has a score of 66.3, which is just a bit better than the Asus MeMO Pad 8's score of 61.2. Although Microsoft Surface 3 is newer than Asus MeMO Pad 8, it is thicker and heavier. Asus MeMO Pad 8 counts with a better looking display than Microsoft Surface 3, because although it has a really smaller screen and a bit lower resolution of 1920 x 1200, it also counts with a higher pixel quantity in each screen inch.

Microsoft Surface 3 has a much bigger storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Asus MeMO Pad 8, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory capacity. Asus MeMO Pad 8 features a little faster processing unit than Microsoft Surface 3, although it has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have a Quad-Core processor.

Microsoft Surface 3 shoots a bit better pictures and videos than Asus MeMO Pad 8, because it has a much higher video definition and a back-facing camera with a way higher resolution. Microsoft Surface 3 and Asus MeMO Pad 8 both have quite similar batteries performance.

Although Microsoft Surface 3 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Asus MeMO Pad 8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Asus MeMO Pad 8. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Microsoft Surface 3, otherwise you can save some money and get the Asus MeMO Pad 8, resigning a couple specifications.
