Comparison review
Microsoft Surface 3 has a score of 66.3, which is a bit better than Samsung ATIV Tab 3's 65 general score. Microsoft Surface 3's construction is newer, but just a little thicker and just a little bit heavier than Samsung ATIV Tab 3. Microsoft Surface 3 features a little better performance than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because it has 2 more CPU cores and 2 GB more RAM.
The Samsung ATIV Tab 3 has just a bit better looking display than Microsoft Surface 3, although it has a way worse resolution of 768 x 1366 pixels, much lesser pixels per screen inch and a little bit smaller screen. The Microsoft Surface 3 shoots much better videos and photos than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 1920x1080 video definition, the Microsoft Surface 3 also has a back facing camera with lot more mega pixels.
The Microsoft Surface 3 counts with a lot bigger memory capacity for applications and games than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage. Samsung ATIV Tab 3's battery life is just as good as Microsoft Surface 3's battery duration.
Although Microsoft Surface 3 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Samsung ATIV Tab 3. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, letting go a couple features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
