Even though Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) is older than the Microsoft Surface 3, it's design is somewhat lighter and just a bit thinner. The Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) has a way better display than Microsoft Surface 3, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a higher pixel amount in each inch of display and a higher 1600 x 2560 resolution.

GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) features a bit faster processor than Microsoft Surface 3, because although it has lesser RAM, and they both have 4 CPU cores, the GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) also counts with a graphics co-processor.
