Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is just a bit better than the Microsoft Surface 3, getting a 67 score against 66.3. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active design is somewhat thicker but noticeably lighter than the Microsoft Surface 3, and both of them were released with only 8 months difference. Galaxy Tab Active has a little more vivid display than Microsoft Surface 3, although it has a lot smaller display, a much lower 1280 x 800 resolution and a little less pixels per display inch.
Microsoft Surface 3 has a superior memory to store more games and applications than Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with more internal memory capacity. The Microsoft Surface 3 features a bit better processing unit than Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, and they both have a Quad-Core processor, the Microsoft Surface 3 also counts with more RAM memory.
Galaxy Tab Active features a superior battery life than Microsoft Surface 3. Microsoft Surface 3 takes a little bit better photos and videos than Galaxy Tab Active, because it has a lot better 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition and a lot better resolution back camera.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is a better device, it is more expensive than the Microsoft Surface 3, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Microsoft Surface 3. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get Microsoft Surface 3, letting go a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your money.
