Microsoft Surface 3 has a global score of 66.3, which is a bit better than the Galaxy Tab E's 60.7 score. Microsoft Surface 3 is an a little bit thicker and notably heavier portable tablet than Galaxy Tab E. The Microsoft Surface 3 features a little better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab E, and although they both have a Quad-Core processor, the Microsoft Surface 3 also has more RAM.

The Microsoft Surface 3 has a slightly better looking display than Samsung Galaxy Tab E, because it has a way higher resolution of 1920 x 1280, a bit bigger screen and a better display density. The Galaxy Tab E shoots clearer pictures and videos than Microsoft Surface 3, although it has a back camera with lot less MP and a way worse 1280x720 (HD) video definition.

The Microsoft Surface 3 counts with much more memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab E, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity. Galaxy Tab E features a way better battery duration than Microsoft Surface 3.
