Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface 3 is a bit better than the Xiaomi MiPad, getting a 66.3 score against 64.4. The Microsoft Surface 3 construction is newer than Xiaomi MiPad's, but it is just a little thicker and noticeably heavier. Xiaomi MiPad counts with a sharper screen than Microsoft Surface 3, because although it has a really smaller screen, it also counts with a way better screen density and a bit higher resolution of 2048 x 1536.
Microsoft Surface 3 has much more storage capacity for games and applications than Xiaomi MiPad, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage. The Xiaomi MiPad has a bit faster processor than Microsoft Surface 3, although it has 2 GB lesser RAM, they both have 4 CPU cores.
Xiaomi MiPad has a much better battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface 3. Xiaomi MiPad captures much clearer pictures and videos than Microsoft Surface 3. They have the same resolution back-facing camera, the same (Full HD) video resolution and the same video frame rates.
Although Microsoft Surface 3 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Xiaomi MiPad, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi MiPad. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy Xiaomi MiPad, letting go some specs and features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
