Google Nexus 7 (2013) is much better than Microsoft Surface 9 Pro, having a 70.8 score against 58.7. Google Nexus 7 (2013) has Android 5.0 OS, while Microsoft Surface 9 Pro comes with Windows OS. The Google Nexus 7 (2013) is a noticeably lighter and just a little thinner tablet than Microsoft Surface 9 Pro.

Google Nexus 7 (2013) features a much more vibrant screen than Microsoft Surface 9 Pro, because although it has a way smaller screen and a way lower 1200 x 1920 resolution, it also counts with a just a bit more pixels per display inch. Microsoft Surface 9 Pro has a much greater storage for applications and games than Google Nexus 7 (2013), because it has more internal storage.
