Microsoft Surface Go is slightly better than the Asus MeMO Pad 8, getting a overall score of 66.5 against 61.2. Even though the Microsoft Surface Go is noticeably newer than the Asus MeMO Pad 8, it is extremely heavier and somewhat thicker. The Microsoft Surface Go has Windows 10 OS, and Asus MeMO Pad 8 works with Android 4.4 OS.

Asus MeMO Pad 8 features a little bit better hardware performance than Microsoft Surface Go, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, it also counts with more processing cores. Asus MeMO Pad 8 counts with a much better display than Microsoft Surface Go, because although it has a much smaller screen, it also counts with a slightly better resolution of 1920 x 1200px and a higher number of pixels per inch of display.

The Microsoft Surface Go has a slightly better camera than Asus MeMO Pad 8, because it has a much better (Full HD) video resolution and a back camera with much more mega pixels. Microsoft Surface Go features a much greater memory to store more games and applications than Asus MeMO Pad 8, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory.

Asus MeMO Pad 8 and Microsoft Surface Go both count with very similar batteries performance.

Although Microsoft Surface Go is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Asus MeMO Pad 8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Asus MeMO Pad 8. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Microsoft Surface Go, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Asus MeMO Pad 8, letting go some specs and features.
