Microsoft Surface Go is just a bit better than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), getting a 66.5 score against 65.7. Microsoft Surface Go works with Windows 10 operating system, and Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) works with Android 9.0 Pie operating system. The Microsoft Surface Go body is newer and a bit thinner, but much heavier than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017).

The Microsoft Surface Go counts with a bit more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), because it has a way better 1800 x 1200 resolution, a bigger display and a bit better display pixel density. The Microsoft Surface Go features a bit more powerful processor than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), because although it has 2 lesser processing cores (although faster), it also counts with more RAM.

The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) captures greater pictures and videos than Microsoft Surface Go. Both have the same video frame rate, a back camera with an 8 mega-pixels and the same 1920x1080 video resolution. The Microsoft Surface Go counts with a much better storage capacity to install games and applications than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage.
