The Microsoft Surface Go has a general score of 66.5, which is a bit better than the Xiaomi MiPad's 64.4 score. Microsoft Surface Go counts with Windows 10 OS, while Xiaomi MiPad counts with Android OS. The Microsoft Surface Go is a notably heavier tablet than the Xiaomi MiPad, but both have the same thickness.
Xiaomi MiPad counts with a little faster processor than Microsoft Surface Go, because although it has 6 GB less RAM, it also counts with a higher number of cores (and faster). Xiaomi MiPad counts with a much better looking display than Microsoft Surface Go, because although it has a lot smaller display, it also counts with a higher 2048 x 1536px resolution and a higher pixel count in each inch in the display.
The Xiaomi MiPad shoots much better pictures and videos than Microsoft Surface Go. They have the same (Full HD) video quality, a camera with an 8 mega pixels resolution and the same video frame rate. Microsoft Surface Go features a lot bigger storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xiaomi MiPad, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 112 GB more internal memory capacity.

Although Microsoft Surface Go is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Xiaomi MiPad, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Xiaomi MiPad. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Microsoft Surface Go, else you can save some money and get the Xiaomi MiPad, letting go a couple features and specifications.
