Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface Pro is a little bit better than Acer Iconia W700, having a overall score of 63.2 against 59.6. Both of these devices include the same Windows 8 Pro OS (operating system), so you shouldn't perceive any differences regarding that. Even though the Microsoft Surface Pro and Acer Iconia W700 were released only 4 months apart, the Microsoft Surface Pro design is lighter but also just a little thicker.
Microsoft Surface Pro features a little sharper display than Acer Iconia W700, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have an equal resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, the Microsoft Surface Pro also counts with a just a little higher number of pixels in each inch in the screen. The Acer Iconia W700's CPU is just as good as the processor in Microsoft Surface Pro, they have a 4 GB RAM, a Dual-Core processor and a 650 megahertz GPU.
The Acer Iconia W700 and Microsoft Surface Pro have similar storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos, and although the Acer Iconia W700 has no slot for an SD memory card, they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal storage capacity. The Microsoft Surface Pro and the Acer Iconia W700 feature incredibly similar battery durations.
Acer Iconia W700 features a slightly better camera than Microsoft Surface Pro, because it has a back camera with a much higher resolution and a much higher (Full HD) video resolution.
