Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface Pro has a score of 63.2, which is slightly better than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020)'s 58.6 global score. Despite being the best in this review, Microsoft Surface Pro's design is notably older, a lot heavier and thicker than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020). The Microsoft Surface Pro works with Windows 8 Pro OS, and Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has Android 9.0 Pie OS.
Microsoft Surface Pro has a bit better looking display than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because it has a bit higher display pixel density, a much larger display and a way higher resolution of 1080 x 1920. The Microsoft Surface Pro features a little bit better hardware performance than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because although it has an inferior number of cores and they are also slower, it also counts with more RAM and an extra graphics processor.
Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) counts with a little bit better storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro, although it has just 32 GB internal storage capacity. Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020)'s battery life is just as good as Microsoft Surface Pro's battery performance.
The Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) features a slightly better camera than Microsoft Surface Pro, and although they both have the same (HD) video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) also has a back-facing camera with a lot better resolution.
Although Microsoft Surface Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020). So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Microsoft Surface Pro, else you can save some dollars and get the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), letting go some specs and features.
