The Microsoft Surface Pro is a little bit better than Asus MeMO Pad 8, having a general score of 63.2 against 61.2. The Microsoft Surface Pro has Windows 8 Pro operating system, and Asus MeMO Pad 8 has Android 4.4 operating system. The Microsoft Surface Pro is an older, noticeably heavier and a lot thicker tablet device than the Asus MeMO Pad 8.

Asus MeMO Pad 8 has a slightly better display than Microsoft Surface Pro, because although it has a way smaller display, it also counts with a slightly higher resolution of 1920 x 1200 and a greater pixel count per inch in the screen. Microsoft Surface Pro has much more storage for games and applications than Asus MeMO Pad 8, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory capacity.

The Asus MeMO Pad 8 counts with just a little better performance than Microsoft Surface Pro, because although it has lesser RAM memory and doesn't have an additional graphics processing unit, it also counts with 2 more CPU cores. Asus MeMO Pad 8 features a superior camera than Microsoft Surface Pro, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same video definition, the Asus MeMO Pad 8 also has a back camera with a much better 5 megapixels resolution.

Asus MeMO Pad 8's battery lifetime is very similar to the battery performance in Microsoft Surface Pro.

Although Microsoft Surface Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Asus MeMO Pad 8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Asus MeMO Pad 8. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy Asus MeMO Pad 8, letting go a few features and specs, but you will get the most out of your money.
