Comparison review
The Samsung Ativ Tab is a bit better than Microsoft Surface Pro, with a 66.7 score against 63.2. These devices work with Windows OS, but the Samsung Ativ Tab has a newer RT version and Microsoft Surface Pro has Windows 8 Pro version, providing a couple nice extra features and optimized performance. Even though Samsung Ativ Tab and the Microsoft Surface Pro were released only a couple of months apart, Samsung Ativ Tab is incredibly lighter and a lot thinner.
Microsoft Surface Pro counts with a bit better processor than Samsung Ativ Tab, and although they both have 2 cores, the Microsoft Surface Pro also has a greater amount of RAM and a much better graphics processing unit running at 650 megahertz. The Microsoft Surface Pro has a little bit better looking display than Samsung Ativ Tab, because it has a bit bigger screen, a higher 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution and a higher pixels density.
Microsoft Surface Pro has a bit bigger memory to install games and applications than Samsung Ativ Tab, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 64 GB more internal memory capacity. Samsung Ativ Tab takes better photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro, and although they both have the same video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Samsung Ativ Tab also has a way higher resolution camera.
Samsung Ativ Tab features a much better battery performance than Microsoft Surface Pro.
Samsung Ativ Tab is more expensive than Microsoft Surface Pro, but it's still a great deal, as you can get a lot more for that extra money.
