The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a score of 68.7, which is just a bit better than Microsoft Surface Pro's global score of 63.2. The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is a newer portable tablet, and it is also noticeably thinner and much lighter than the Microsoft Surface Pro. Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch comes with Android 4.2.2 OS, while Microsoft Surface Pro comes with Windows 8 Pro OS.
Microsoft Surface Pro counts with a bit better screen than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a lot better 1080 x 1920 resolution, a really larger display and a little bit higher pixels density. Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch shoots much better photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro, and although they both have the same (HD) video quality, the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also has a camera in the back with a lot better resolution and faster 30 fps video frame rate.
