The Microsoft Surface Pro is a bit better than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0, with a score of 63.2 against 62.8. The Microsoft Surface Pro is a incredibly older, heavier and thicker tablet device than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0. Microsoft Surface Pro works with Windows 8 Pro operating system, while Galaxy Tab A 8.0 counts with Android 7.1 Nougat operating system.

Microsoft Surface Pro counts with a much better looking display than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has a higher pixels density, a way bigger display and a lot better resolution of 1080 x 1920px. The Microsoft Surface Pro has a little bit better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has a lower number of cores , it also counts with an additional graphics processing unit and 2,5 GB more RAM memory.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has a superior camera than Microsoft Surface Pro, and although they both have the same 1280x720 video quality and the same video frame rates, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 also has a lot better 5 MP resolution camera. Microsoft Surface Pro features a much bigger memory capacity to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 counts with a much longer battery performance than Microsoft Surface Pro.

Although Microsoft Surface Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy Tab A 8.0. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Microsoft Surface Pro, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Galaxy Tab A 8.0, resigning some features and specifications.
