Sony Vaio Tap 11 has a global score of 66, which is slightly better than the Microsoft Surface Pro's 63.2 score. These tablets use Windows OS, but Sony Vaio Tap 11 has an older 8 version and Microsoft Surface Pro has Windows 8 Pro version. The Sony Vaio Tap 11 construction is thinner and lighter than the Microsoft Surface Pro.

The Microsoft Surface Pro counts with a bit superior processing unit than Sony Vaio Tap 11, and although they both have the same RAM memory amount and the same number of cores, the Microsoft Surface Pro also has an extra GPU. Sony Vaio Tap 11 has a little sharper screen than Microsoft Surface Pro, because although it has a bit inferior quantity of pixels per display inch, and they both have exactly the same 1080 x 1920 resolution, the Sony Vaio Tap 11 also counts with a bit larger screen.

The Microsoft Surface Pro and the Sony Vaio Tap 11 feature similar storage to install games and applications, and although the Sony Vaio Tap 11 has no slot for an external memory card, they both have exactly the same internal memory. The Sony Vaio Tap 11 features a much longer battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface Pro.

Sony Vaio Tap 11 features a much better camera than Microsoft Surface Pro, because it has a way more mega-pixels back facing camera.

Although Sony Vaio Tap 11 is a better device, it is more expensive than the Microsoft Surface Pro, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Microsoft Surface Pro. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Sony Vaio Tap 11, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Microsoft Surface Pro, giving up some specifications.
